Establishes a national food rescue system to recover and distribute surplus food to food-insecure communities.

The Food Rescue Act amends the Emergency Food Assistance Act of 1983 to create a national food rescue system. This system will coordinate the recovery, processing, transportation, and distribution of surplus and donated food to emergency feeding organizations and food-insecure communities. The Secretary of Agriculture will establish a competitive grant program to support food rescue organizations, which may partner with food banks, food recovery networks, and other relevant entities. Grant funds can be used for food rescue operations, logistics, technology, and administrative costs.
