The Affordable Consumer Health Options and Insurance Competition Enhancement Act, also known as the Affordable CHOICE Act, amends the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act to establish a public health insurance option. This option will be offered exclusively through the Exchanges and will include bronze, silver, and gold plans. The Secretary of Health and Human Services will establish premium rates and reimbursement rates for health care providers, with a contingency margin included in premium rates.
