Federal HB6662 requires the Department of Defense and the Department of Veterans Affairs to jointly select a uniform credentialing and privileging system for medical providers by January 1, 2027. The selected system must be capable of importing and sharing provider credentialing and privileging information. The Secretaries must also submit a report to the Committees on Armed Services and Veterans’ Affairs within 120 days of the Act's enactment, detailing the scope, data types, portability, interoperability, risk management, and governance of existing systems.
