CARE for First Responders Act aims to enhance mental health services for emergency responders.

The CARE for First Responders Act seeks to improve mental health services for emergency responders. It amends the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act to include qualified emergency response providers in crisis counseling assistance. The Act also establishes a peer support counseling program for active and retired emergency responders. Additionally, it creates a hotline through the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline specifically for emergency responders.
