The Grid Research and Development Act seeks to modernize and standardize the manner in which information and data is reported to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). The Act mandates the development of a centralized data repository and an Interconnection Data Dashboard to provide real-time and historical information on interconnection processes. It also requires FERC to review and ensure the completeness and accuracy of data reported by transmitting utilities and Transmission Organizations.
