SNAP BACK Act.

The SNAP BACK Act ensures timely disbursement and uninterrupted access to SNAP and WIC benefits.

The SNAP BACK Act mandates the immediate release of funds for the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) and the Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). It requires state agencies to load benefits onto Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cards without delay and prohibits any suspension of benefits due to funding issues. The Act also ensures the uninterrupted operation of EBT systems and prohibits enrollment freezes or restrictions on participation in SNAP or WIC.
