Introduced·10/28/25

FARM Act mandates OEMs to provide documentation, parts, software, and tools for farm equipment repairs.

The FARM Act, or Freedom for Agricultural Repair and Maintenance Act, requires original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to make documentation, parts, software, and tools available to owners and independent repair providers for diagnosing, maintaining, upgrading, reprogramming, or repairing farm equipment. These items must be provided on fair and reasonable terms, without imposing substantial obligations or restrictions on their use. The Act also prohibits OEMs from imposing additional costs or burdens that are not reasonably necessary or designed to be impediments.
