Introduced·9/30/25

Fair Pay for Federal Contractors Act of 2025 provides back pay to federal contractors affected by lapses in appropriations.

The Fair Pay for Federal Contractors Act of 2025 mandates federal agencies to adjust the price of contracts for contractors who suspended, delayed, or stopped work due to lapses in appropriations. This adjustment compensates contractors for reasonable costs incurred. The act also provides back pay to employees of federal contractors who were furloughed, laid off, or experienced reduced hours or compensation due to the lapse. The maximum weekly compensation for employees is limited to the lesser of their actual weekly compensation or $1,442.
