A BILL

To amend the Federal Power Act to streamline the siting of certain transmission facilities in the national interest.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Short title.

This Act may be cited as the “Streamlining Powerlines Essential to Electric Demand and Reliability Act of 2025” or the “SPEED and Reliability Act of 2025”.
