The Growing Opportunities in Agriculture Act, also known as the GO Ag Act, authorizes the Secretary of Education to award competitive grants to eligible entities for the creation of new agricultural education programs in secondary schools. Each grant may not exceed $100,000 and may last up to five years. Eligible entities must use the grant for curriculum development, equipment, technology, and course materials. They must also provide an independent evaluation and annual report on the grant's use. The act authorizes $5,000,000 for this purpose, available through fiscal year 2028.
