The Don Young American Grown Act requires that cut flowers and cut greens displayed in public areas of the Executive Office of the President, the Department of State, and the Department of Defense must be produced in the United States. This includes flowers and greens grown in any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, or U.S. territories and possessions. The act does not apply to cut flowers or greens used by federal officers or employees for personal display. The act will take effect one year after its enactment.
