Ms. Strickland (for herself and Mr. Bacon) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Education and Workforce, and in addition to the Committees on Oversight and Government Reform, and House Administration, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned

To amend the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 to reduce the qualifying time for a spouse of an active duty member of the Armed Forces to take leave.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,

SECTION 1. Family and Medical Leave Act eligible employee.
