H.R.4201

TPS Reform Act of 2025

Introduced·6/26/25

TPS Reform Act of 2025 modifies the procedure for designating a foreign state for Temporary Protected Status.

The TPS Reform Act of 2025 amends the Immigration and Nationality Act to change how a foreign state is designated for Temporary Protected Status. It requires an Act to find ongoing armed conflict and extraordinary conditions preventing safe return, and that allowing temporary stay in the U.S. is not against national interest. It limits initial designation to 18 months and extensions to 12 months. The Act also modifies the procedure for terminating a designation and makes technical corrections.
