The Advanced Capabilities for Emergency Response Operations Act, or ACERO Act, directs the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) to leverage its tools and technologies to improve aerial responses to wildfires. This includes advanced aircraft technologies, airspace management, information sharing, and the development of an interoperable platform for situational awareness. The Administrator is prohibited from procuring unmanned aircraft systems from covered foreign entities unless a case-by-case waiver is granted.
