The FIREARM Act, or Fighting Irrational Regulatory Enforcement to Avert Retailers’ Misfortune Act, provides firearm licensees an opportunity to correct statutory and regulatory violations. It defines a "self-reported violation" as a violation reported by the licensee before the Attorney General discovers it. The Attorney General must assist the licensee in correcting the violation and provide compliance training. The Act also allows for direct judicial review of license revocations, requiring the Attorney General to stay the revocation until the court issues a judgment.
