The VALID Act of 2025 amends the National Housing Act to include information about VA home loans in the Informed Consumer Choice Disclosure provided to prospective FHA borrowers. It also amends the Housing and Community Development Act of 1992 to require a military service question on the Uniform Residential Loan Application, positioned above the signature line. The Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency must issue a rule within six months to implement these changes. The act does not require lenders to determine a borrower's eligibility for VA loans.
