Adds suicide prevention resources to student identification cards at higher education institutions.
The Improving Mental Health Access for Students Act amends the Higher Education Act of 1965 to require higher education institutions to include suicide prevention resources on student identification cards. Institutions that do not issue ID cards must publish this information on their websites. The resources include the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, Crisis Text Line, and a campus mental health center. If any of these resources cease to exist, the Secretary may designate a different entity. The changes will take effect one year after the Act's enactment.
