Confronting CCP Human Rights Abusers Act mandates the inclusion of China's Ministry of Public Security's Institute of Forensic Science on the entity.

The Confronting CCP Human Rights Abusers Act requires the Under Secretary of Commerce for Industry and Security to add the Ministry of Public Security’s Institute of Forensic Science of China to the entity list within 60 days of the Act's enactment. This list is maintained by the Bureau of Industry and Security of the Department of Commerce. The Act also allows the President to waive this requirement if the President certifies that the Institute is not implicated in human rights abuses against Uyghurs, Kazakhs, and other Muslim minorities in Xinjiang.
