The Protecting the Mailing of Firearms Act repeals Section 1715 of title 18, United States Code, which prohibits the mailing of firearms. This change applies to all pending cases under this section. The bill also restricts the Postmaster General from creating rules that prohibit or impede the mailing of firearms, ammunition, or components, or require the disclosure of sales receipts or other customer records as a condition of mailing.
