Advancing GETs Act of 2025 Advancing Grid-Enhancing Technologies Act of 2025

Introduced·4/8/25

Advancing GETs Act of 2025 establishes shared savings incentives for developers of grid-enhancing technologies and mandates congestion reporting.

Advancing GETs Act of 2025 requires the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to create a shared savings incentive for developers of grid-enhancing technology. This incentive returns a portion of the savings from investments in grid-enhancing technology to the developer. The Act defines grid-enhancing technology as hardware or software that increases the capacity, efficiency, reliability, resilience, or safety of transmission facilities and technologies. The shared savings incentive applies to investments in new transmission facilities and technologies, not those already installed.
