America's Red Rock Wilderness Act designates certain federal portions of the red rock canyons of the Colorado Plateau and the Great Basin Deserts in Utah as wilderness areas. These areas include the Great Basin, Grand Staircase-Escalante, Moab-La Sal Canyons, Henry Mountains, Glen Canyon, San Juan, Canyonlands Basin, San Rafael Swell, Book Cliffs–Greater Dinosaur, and other wilderness areas. The bill aims to protect the cultural, ecological, and scenic values of these lands for present and future generations.
