The Helping Heroes Act mandates the establishment of the Veteran Family Resource Program by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. This program aims to connect veterans to family resources, improve their well-being and resiliency, and develop internal partnerships to enhance healthcare. It includes appointing family coordinators in each Veterans Integrated Service Network to serve as point persons for veterans and their families. The program also includes a survey of disabled veterans and their families to identify their needs and unmet needs of their children.
