A BILL
To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to treat membership in a health care sharing ministry as a medical expense, and for other purposes.
Treatment of health care sharing ministries
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. Treatment of health care sharing ministries as a medical expense and not as insurance.
- (a) Treatment as a medical expense.— Section 213(d)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by striking “or” at the end of , by striking the period at the end of and inserting “, or”, and by adding at the end the following new subparagraph:
