The TAP Promotion Act mandates a standardized presentation on veterans' benefits in military pre-separation counseling.

The TAP Promotion Act amends the Transition Assistance Program to include a standardized presentation on benefits available to veterans under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs. This presentation must be reviewed and approved by the Secretary in collaboration with veterans service organizations. It must also be submitted to the Committees on Veterans’ Affairs for review before implementation. The presentation can include participation from recognized veterans service organizations or authorized individuals.
