Ms. Tlaib (for herself, Ms. Norton, Ms. Lee of Pennsylvania, Mr. McGovern, Ms. Ocasio-Cortez, Ms. Omar, Ms. Pressley, Mrs. Ramirez, Mr. Takano, and Mr. Tonko) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Financial Services, and in addition to the Committees on House Administration, Ways and Means, and Agriculture, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned
A BILL
To prohibit certain defense industry stock trading and ownership by Members of Congress and spouses of Members of Congress, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. Short title.
This Act may be cited as the “Stop Politicians Profiting from War Act of 2025”.
