The bill enhances Social Security benefits and ensures the program's long-term solvency. It increases the first bend point percentage for Social Security benefits from 90 percent to 95 percent. It also raises the minimum benefit for lifetime low earners based on years in the workforce. The bill extends benefit eligibility for children who are full-time students up to age 22. It adjusts payroll taxes on remuneration up to the contribution and benefit base and more than $250,000.
