The Maintaining Investments in New Innovation Act amends title XI of the Social Security Act to extend the exclusivity period for advanced drug products that incorporate genetically targeted technologies. These technologies can modulate gene function. The bill defines an advanced drug product as a drug utilizing such technology. The exclusivity period is extended from 7 to 11 years.
