Workforce Reentry Act provides grants to help ex-offenders reintegrate into the workforce.

The Workforce Reentry Act amends the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act to establish a grant program for ex-offenders reentry into the workforce. Eligible entities include nonprofits, local boards, state or local governments, and others. Grants fund occupational skills education, on-the-job training, apprenticeships, job referrals, and post-placement support. The Department of Labor will award grants competitively, prioritizing entities that demonstrate evidence-based or promising practices.
