FIRE Cancer Act of 2025 establishes cancer prevention programs for firefighters, including multi-cancer early detection testing.

The FIRE Cancer Act of 2025 amends the Federal Fire Prevention and Control Act of 1974 to establish cancer prevention programs for firefighting personnel. The Act authorizes the Federal Emergency Management Agency and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to create a voluntary program for firefighters to share results of multi-cancer early detection testing or other preventative tests. These results will be anonymized to protect personal information. The Act also authorizes $700,000,000 for grants to support these programs and limits the expenditure to $1,750 per test.
