Scientific Integrity Act

Introduced·2/6/25

Scientific Integrity Act aims to ensure scientific integrity in federal agencies conducting or overseeing research.

The Scientific Integrity Act amends the America COMPETES Act to establish policies ensuring scientific integrity in federal agencies funding, conducting, or overseeing research. It mandates agencies to adopt and enforce scientific integrity policies, prohibiting misconduct and ensuring scientific findings are not suppressed or altered. Agencies must appoint Scientific Integrity Officers to oversee these policies, and report incidents of policy violations. The Office of Science and Technology Policy reviews and approves these policies.
