Allows individuals with early-onset Alzheimer's disease to buy into Medicare.
This bill amends title XVIII of the Social Security Act to create a buy-in option for individuals diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease, allowing them to enroll in Medicare. Eligible individuals must be diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease and not otherwise entitled to Medicare benefits due to age. They will be responsible for applicable premiums and will receive the same benefits and protections as other Medicare enrollees. The Secretary of Health and Human Services must update relevant materials within 30 days of the bill's enactment.
