Requires country of origin and method of production labeling for fish.
The Let Americans Buy with Explicit Labeling Act, also known as the LABEL Act, amends the Agricultural Marketing Act of 1946 to mandate clear labeling for fish products. This includes the country of origin and whether the fish is farm-raised or wild. The labeling must be prominently displayed on the front of the package in a font size equal to or larger than the one used for the fish description. This change takes effect one year after the bill's enactment.
