The bill directs the Secretary of Agriculture to conduct a comprehensive study on the current state of United States preparedness and response capabilities to combat pasture mealybug. The study includes an analysis of the current threat, economic impact, international cooperation, and stakeholder consultation. It also examines surveillance and detection systems, emergency response plans, and containment and control techniques. The Secretary must submit a report to Congress and make it publicly available within 6 months of the enactment of this Act.
