Allows combat-related disability retirees to receive both veterans' disability compensation and retired pay.
The Combat Veterans Retirement Restoration Act allows members retired under chapter 61 of title 10, United States Code, with combat-related disabilities to receive both veterans' disability compensation and retired pay. This applies to retirees with 20 or more years of service, as well as those with less than 20 years of service. The changes take effect from January 1, 2027.
