A BILL
To require a background investigation and certain disclosures from covered persons representing the Federal Government before a foreign sovereign, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. Short title.
This Act may be cited as the “Justice and Accountability for Representatives Engaged in Diplomacy Act” or the “JARED Act”.
