This bill amends the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993 and title 5, United States Code, to allow employees to take leave for parental involvement in their children's and grandchildren's educational and extracurricular activities. Employees can take up to 8 hours of leave per 30-day period and up to 48 hours per 12-month period. This leave can be substituted with accrued paid vacation, personal, family, medical, or sick leave. The bill also requires employees to provide notice of their intention to take leave.
