The Biomanufacturing Excellence, Domestic Resilience, Output, and Competitive Know-how Act, or the BEDROCK Act, tasks the Secretary of Commerce with promoting U.S. biomanufacturing competitiveness. The Secretary must identify supply-chain vulnerabilities and commercialization barriers related to critical biomanufacturing inputs and domestic production capacity. This includes assessing the extent of U.S. reliance on foreign adversaries for such inputs and the impact of foreign biomanufacturing capacity on domestic industry.
