Mrs. Miller of West Virginia (for herself and Ms. Sewell) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Ways and Means
A BILL
To amend the Harmonized Tariff Schedule for the United States to establish a new subheading in chapter 39 for silicone prosthetics for women who are breast cancer survivors and a new subheading in chapter 90 for mastectomy bras.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. Establishment of a new subheading in chapter 39 of the HTS.
Effective with respect to goods entered for consumption, or withdrawn from warehouse for consumption, on or after 12:01 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time on January 1, 2027, chapter 39 of the Harmonized Tariff Schedule of the United States is amended by inserting the following new subheading 3926.20.61 in numerical sequence at the same level of indentation as subheading 3926.20.60:
“Heading/ Subheading Article Description Rates of Duty 1 2 General Special 3926.20.61 Silicone prosthetic breast forms for use with mastectomy brassieres 0% Free (A, AU, BH, CL, CO, D, E, IL, JO, KR, MA, OM, P, PA, PE, S, SG) 25%”.
