Ms. Norton (for herself, Mr. Beyer, Mr. Hoyer, and Mr. Walkinshaw) introduced the following bill; which was referred to the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform, and in addition to the Committees on House Administration, and the Judiciary, for a period to be subsequently determined by the Speaker, in each case for consideration of such provisions as fall within the jurisdiction of the committee concerned
A BILL
To amend the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2017 to extend the availability of identity protection coverage to individuals whose personally identifiable information was compromised during recent data breaches at Federal agencies, and for other purposes.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives of the United States of America in Congress assembled,
SECTION 1. Short title.
This Act may be cited as the “Reducing the Effects of the Cyberattack on OPM Victims Enduring Response and Protecting Identifiable Information Act” or the “RECOVER PII Act”.
