Modernizing Outdated Regulations to Expand American Fuel Act of 2026 amends the Atomic Energy Act of 1954 to align the licensing of uranium enrichment facilities with other fuel cycle facilities. The Nuclear Regulatory Commission must promulgate regulations to revise part 70 of title 10, Code of Federal Regulations, within 180 days of the enactment of this Act. The Act also allows for exemptions from new regulations for pending applications and requires applicants to notify the Commission before commencing construction.
