Dignity for Aborted Children Act mandates informed consent for fetal tissue disposal post-abortion.
The Dignity for Aborted Children Act amends the Public Health Service Act to require abortion providers to offer patients options for the disposal of fetal tissue. Patients can choose to take possession of the tissue and transfer it to an entity for interment or cremation, or release the tissue to the abortion provider. If the tissue is released to the provider, the provider must ensure its final disposition through interment or cremation within 7 days, in accordance with state laws on human remains.
