Provides additional unpaid parental leave for Department of Veterans Affairs employees.
The Supporting VA Families Act establishes a supplemental period of unpaid parental leave for employees of the Department of Veterans Affairs. This leave is available for the birth or placement of a child for adoption or foster care. The leave entitlement is in addition to any other leave available and expires at the end of the 12-month period following the birth or placement.
