Adds suicide prevention resources to student identification cards at higher education institutions.
The Improving Mental Health Access for Students Act mandates that higher education institutions include suicide prevention resources on student identification cards. Institutions that issue such cards must list contact information for the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline, Crisis Text Line, and a campus mental health center. If any of these organizations cease to exist, the Secretary may designate a replacement. Institutions without student ID cards must publish this information on their websites. The changes will take effect one year after the Act's enactment.
