BEDROCK Act aims to boost U.S. biomanufacturing competitiveness and resilience.
The BEDROCK Act directs the Secretary of Commerce to enhance U.S. biomanufacturing competitiveness, identify supply-chain vulnerabilities, and improve transparency of federal processes. The Secretary must assess and report on the availability of critical biomanufacturing inputs, supply-chain risks, and commercialization barriers. The Act also mandates the creation of a federal commercialization pathway map, a web resource for public information, and a process for non-federal entities to identify nonpublic information.
