SB00512

Connecticut SB00512 establishes the Connecticut Growth Investment Fund as an alternative to the estate tax.

Connecticut SB00512 creates the Connecticut Growth Investment Fund, managed by Connecticut Innovations, Incorporated. This fund allows residents to invest a portion of their potential estate tax exposure, with returns contingent on their residency status at death. If a resident remains in Connecticut for at least five years post-investment, their estate retains the initial payment and gains. Otherwise, the payment is returned without interest.
