Transfers oversight of farming on certain state lands from the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to the Department of Agriculture.

The bill proposes to transfer the oversight of farming activities occurring on certain state-owned properties from the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection to the Department of Agriculture. This change will take effect on July 1, 2026, and will apply to any farming on state-owned property under the care, custody, or control of the Department of Energy and Environmental Protection. Any lease agreements for such farming will be entered into between the Department of Agriculture and the respective lessor.
