Defines "gas company" to exclude certain entities from the definition.

The bill amends the definition of "gas company" to exclude entities that do not own, lease, maintain, operate, manage, or control mains, pipes, or other fixtures in public highways or streets. This change applies to entities manufacturing gas through biomass gasification plants and municipal gas utilities established under chapter 101. The amendment takes effect on October 1, 2026.
