Connecticut SB00419 modifies the state's electric generation market by allowing customers to choose their electric suppliers.

Connecticut SB00419 revises the state's electric generation market, effective October 1, 2026. It allows customers of electric distribution companies to choose their electric suppliers starting July 1, 2000. The Public Utilities Regulatory Authority can adopt regulations to implement this change. Customers who do not choose a supplier or cannot maintain a contract will receive services in accordance with section 16-244c.
