Establishes the Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan Fund as a separate nonlapsing fund in Connecticut.
The bill establishes the Mashantucket Pequot and Mohegan Fund as a separate nonlapsing fund in Connecticut. Funds received by the state from the Mashantucket Pequot Tribe will be deposited into this fund. The fund will be managed by the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management, who will annually certify the amount due to each municipality. The Comptroller will then draw an order on the Treasurer to pay these amounts. The fund will be distributed in three installments, on or before the first day of January, the first day of April, and the thirtieth day of June.
