Connecticut SB00297 modifies court proceedings for children or youth alleged to be uncared for, neglected, or abused. It allows the Commissioner of Children and Families to place children in homes or institutions of the same religious faith as the child's parent, if known. The commissioner must notify the child and their attorney of placements and changes. Youths can remain in care until age 21 if they are enrolled in education or employment programs.
